Studio Assistants are the heart of Social Pottery, ensuring every guest feels welcome, supported, and inspired throughout their experience.
We are looking for a Studio Assistant to support the day-to-day running of our studio space. Experience in hospitality is required and knowledge in ceramics is favoured, although full training will be provided.
You don’t need to be fully versed in the technical aspects of ceramics, but a practical mindset, a positive attitude, a welcoming smile, and a hands-on approach are essential to thrive in this role.
This is a varied, fast-paced role involving direct customer service and communication, as well as daily studio operations and on-the-spot problem solving. Tasks range from admin duties such as managing emails and phone calls, to practical studio work. A key part of the role is ensuring our guests have a great experience and that the studio remains clean, organised, and welcoming at all times – the real day-to-day joys of running a pottery studio.
We are committed to supporting our team to learn, grow, and develop new skills, and in return we expect commitment, enthusiasm, and pride in your role so you can enjoy your time here as much as we do.
Candidates are expected to:
Be based locally
Have flexibility in working hours
Be available for regular weekly shifts, including at least one weekend day
Have experience in customer service
Be professional, friendly, patient and kind
Full training will be provided in studio-specific practices and customer service approach, and you will also have the opportunity to bring your own creativity and passion into the role.
If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, please send an application including your CV, a short statement on why you would be a good fit for the role.
